Founder & CEO – Justin Turvey
Justin provides strategic leadership for the company by working with the Board and other management to establish long-term goals, strategies, plans and policies.
Justin is a former U.S. Marine Sergeant who served as a scout sniper and point man with the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion’s parachute team one, in the 1st Marine Division. Graduating the Tennessee police academy was the start of his carrier in law enforcement. Upon moving to Boston, he accepted a position with the Plymouth County Sheriff Department’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
The 9 years spent in the B.C.I. (Bureau of Criminal Investigations) unit is where he developed a passion for improving the quality of the world’s fingerprint database. Having been involved in the collection of latent prints at crime scenes and also responsible for taking thousands of known prints at the time of a suspect’s arrest, he saw the need to find way to solve more crimes with the use of biometrics.
Due to having no control of the quality of fingerprints left behind at a crime scene, Justin focused on improving the quality of the known prints taken. To this end, there was not a current solution to this problem. It was at this point Justin decided to develop a completely new product that will produce better prints while abandoning the negative aspects of existing products.
